Holiday Lighting

The forth core service provided by the BID is the installation of festive street lighting during the Fall/Winter holiday season. This year, the BID displayed three “Sutphin Boulevard” holiday light banners at the interactions of Sutphin and Hillside, Sutphin and Jamaica and Sutphin and 94th Avenue.  The 9 additional streamers placed overhead throughout the district following the green and white theme , coordinated perfectly with the green and white holiday banners. 

In celebration of our first year, we commemorated the start of our services and the holiday season with a holiday lighting ceremony where we were joined by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Commissioner Robert Walsh of the NYC Department of Small Business Services. The festivities drew Sutphin Boulevard business owners, residents and elected officials and we all celebrated with warm coco and chicken and waffles catered by our own, Agapé Blends Café.
